About Hansker Design
Our mission is to make ergonomic devices desirable.
Hansker Design is an independent business based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. We were born out of frustration with the state of ergonomic mice back in 2021, when its founder Alex Muñoz was spending, like everyone else, countless hours locked at home in front of his computer.
Not being able to find a vertical mouse that was comfortable, beautiful and had a proper sensor for precision work & gaming, Alex Muñoz started researching the idea of creating his own mouse. After early user validations with 3D printed prototypes, he created a Kickstarter campaign to gather the necessary funds to begin the initial production of the Hansker mouse.
Being a UX designer himself, Alex built the Hansker mouse with aesthetics, ergonomics and precision in mind. He wanted to create a product that didn't scream on your desk. Something that you couldn't let go off.
The Hansker mouse is a truly global product. It has been designed collectively by:
- An industrial designer from Ukraine
- A product designer from Spain
- A mechanical engineer from the United States
- A mechanical engineer from Vietnam
- Several industrial & mechanical engineers from China
The entire product development process took over a year, and the production was finished in late 2024. Since then, hundreds of Hansker mice have been shipped around the world.
Since 2023, our mission has remained the same: to make ergonomic devices desirable.
We are not chasing selling millions of mice nor becoming the number #1 brand of hardware in the world. We want to create meaningful, unique products that people truly enjoy using. We have worked with small business partners in the south of China that align with our values and ways of working. The Hansker mouse was born in Europe, designed globally, and produced in Asia.
